Welcoming Heart, Mind and Body.
Therapy for those navigating change, trauma, grief, identity, and the search for belonging.
WELCOME
I’m Iona Singleton
Our bodies hold a deep intelligence. Before we can explain our experiences in words, our nervous systems, emotions, and bodies have already begun making sense of them. What we might think of as symptoms can also be seen as intelligent adaptations, ways we learned to survive, protect ourselves, and stay connected.
I offer a space where we can become curious together about what is happening in your internal world, and how it is being expressed. Therapy becomes a place to slow down, to listen, and to reconnect with the wisdom that already exists within you.
My work is deeply rooted in the body. Together we explore your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and the subtle messages carried through your felt sense, alongside the existential questions that often sit underneath them: meaning, identity, belonging, purpose, and what it means to live a life that feels deeply your own.
I hope therapy offers you a place where every part of you is welcome. A place to explore, to heal, and to rediscover the relationship you have with yourself.
My approach is relational, rooted in somatic and existential inquiry. Together, we explore the intelligence of your body, your emotions, and the ways you have learned to adapt, creating enough safety to reconnect with yourself, and to move towards a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and connected.
Every session is shaped by what arises between us in the present moment, rather than by a fixed method. What I bring to that moment is shaped by years of training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Maté, in somatic and body-based approaches, in yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, and through my doctoral training in Counselling Psychology and Existential Psychotherapy. None of this is imposed on you, it sits quietly behind the work, informing how I listen.
Trauma can leave us feeling disconnected, from ourselves, from our intuition, and from our capacity to feel fully alive. I believe its reach extends beyond our own lifetime, carried through generations in ways that continue to shape how we relate to ourselves and others. We work at a pace that feels safe, supporting your nervous system to move from survival towards greater regulation and connection.
Healing does not happen in isolation. We are shaped not only by our personal histories, but by our families, communities, cultures, and the wider social and political systems we live in. Therapy makes space to honour both, your individual experience, and the larger context that has shaped it.
I bring curiosity, presence, compassion, and experience, walking alongside you as we make sense of things together. I will check in often, so the pace we move at always feels collaborative, safe, and grounded.
MY APPROACH
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom

Somatic Tools for Crisis Response with Iona Singleton & Domestic Shelters
Trauma does not end the moment someone reaches safety. For survivors, it often continues to surface in courtrooms, therapy sessions, shelters, medical appointments, and everyday moments, sometimes appearing as panic, shutdown, forgetfulness, emotional overwhelm, or dysregulation, and too often misunderstood as instability or a lack of credibility. This timely webinar explores somatic (body-based) tools for crisis response and trauma-informed care
